About Peace Lutheran

Peace Lutheran Church is a medium sized congregation worshipping and serving the Glen Burnie/ Ferndale communities. We support the community by our monthly Free Clothing Give Away, support to North County Emergency Outreach Network, and opening the building to a men’s winter relief homeless shelter, to name a few. Come join us in serving the community.

History

Original planning for Peace Lutheran Church began in 1955 as an American Lutheran Church mission congregation led by the Rev. William Corkish. The first service was held in temporary quarters at the Ferndale Elementary School on Pentecost Sunday 1958. The original building was dedicated one year later on May 17, 1959. On February 9, 1964 we opened our Educational building and built a Parsonage.
