Critical for any church to truly be a Christian congregation is to be centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Gospel is a word used in church often but seldom fully understood.
In order to genuinely be Gospel we need to be and do:

1.  Good News – Gospel literally means Good News. We have the privilege of sharing the Good News of God’s endless mercy and grace that give us our salvation.
2. Hope – Jesus has conquered death. Nothing can stop Jesus. The hope we find in our Christian faith far exceeds any other kind of hope from any other source. This hope cannot fail, cannot be stopped, and is eternal. Jesus lives – and so does the unique hope that only He provides.
3.  Unconditional Love – Jesus never says, “I will love you if…” The love from our Lord is truly unconditional. To be and do Gospel is to be and do the same. It matters not who or what you are, God loves you and so do we.
4.  Open Future – as long as death exists there is a terminus to our future. But through the power of the Empty Tomb and our Risen Lord, death has been defeated. The future is open and full of promise – promise that is forever. With God, all things are possible.
